David Mankoff, MD, PhD
University of Washington
Specific Objectives
- Identify unmet clinical needs that new imaging approaches (new instrumentation or new probes or new imaging protocols) can address with the guidance of the organ-based committees.
- Design small studies to test the ability of the novel imaging approaches to meet those needs.
- Use pilot studies to develop and test standardize methods for eventual use in multicenter studies of new imaging approaches.
- Use pilot studies to establish and test appropriate endpoints and study designs with the goal of designing future, larger trials of new imaging approaches.
