INTRODUCTION

Although a young organization, ACRIN has established a dynamic clinical trials infrastructure and developed numerous protocols since its creation in 1999. These trials have the potential for altering and expanding the role of medical imaging and image-guided therapy in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Investigators from over 100 academic and community-based medical facilities in the United States and several international institutions participate in ACRIN trials. The protocol team is made up of over 45 ACRIN staff members, who provide administrative, data management, statistical, quality assurance, and trial development support for participating investigators.
